Informed consents

Informed consents

Informed consent has already protected many healthcare providers from lawsuits and potential risk of liability for the damage caused. The relationship between the provider and the patient must be defined as precisely as possible, taking into account the specific risks. Otherwise, the healthcare provider is facing a risk of civil lawsuits or even criminal prosecution. Signed informed consent is a proof that the patient has agreed with a medical procedure or intervention and he/she made this decision on the basis of all relevant information.

“Clear contracts make good partners. The basis for the provision of health care is well-formulated informed consent.”

Our lawyers have many years of experience in preparing of these informed consents under the Health Care Act, Act on medicine and other legislation. They are taking into account the specific nature of every medical performance for which the informed consent is made. From universal health care (e.g. mandatory vaccinations, frequent medical performances) to specialized procedures (assisted reproduction, transplantation, sterilization and other).
